The Separation of Waste Campaign
The 'Waste Separation Legislation 2025' in England requires households and businesses to separate recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal, and food waste to improve recycling efficiency and reduce landfill use. This initiative supports England's move toward a circular economy and aims to lower carbon emissions. Local authorities will provide infrastructure and guidance for compliance, helping the country meet its net-zero and sustainability goals.
This new legislation update presents a significant opportunity for Commercial to demonstrate its capabilities and support businesses through the transition. The project mission was to create an email to send to clients and make them aware of Commercial's services. To effectively engage viewers, the campaign required compelling and impactful imagery. During the initial collaborative phase of the project, several concepts were explored, with two emerging as clear favourites for further development by the team.
Animation was incorporated into the design to create an engaging email experience. The example above illustrates waste separation within a skip, featuring dynamic animations that effectively capture the viewer's interest.
The final version of the email features the fox animation, as preferred by the Commercial team and links to an insight article on the Commercial website. The copy has been refined to complement the design, while the composition incorporates contrasting elements to break up the text and create a balanced flow of information.
