Crooked Spire Games
CSG is an innovative startup based in the UK, dedicated to creating engaging recreational games. Our flagship game, “Mayor of Big Town” (MOBT), immerses players in the thrilling world of elections, combining strategy and fun.
The logo reflects our roots, featuring the iconic crooked church spire of Chesterfield, symbolising our community spirit, alongside a dice motif that captures the essence of gaming. At CSG, we aim to bring unique experiences to the gaming landscape, starting with MOBT.
The final version of “Mayor of Big Town” showcases nine fictional areas, each representing a different political party, designed to enhance gameplay and strategy. The circular layout was chosen to optimise game flow, allowing players to engage dynamically with the board.
To further enrich the experience, we developed a custom card deck that includes original illustrations created by me. These visuals not only enhance gameplay but also reinforce our branding, making each element of MOBT visually appealing and thematically cohesive.
To enhance gameplay, we designed unique game pieces representing characters from each of the nine political parties. These pieces add a personal touch and bring the political landscape to life, allowing players to engage more deeply with the game's themes. Each character embodies the essence of its respective party, enriching the overall experience and encouraging strategic play.
Each area of the “Mayor of Big Town” board features bespoke icons that contribute to a cohesive visual identity and strengthen our branding. These unique icons not only enhance the gameplay experience but also provide consistency throughout the game, making it easy for players to navigate and connect with the thematic elements of each political party.
Money plays a crucial role in the gameplay of “Mayor of Big Town,” and I’ve designed simple yet striking visuals for this fictional currency. These designs not only facilitate smooth transactions during the game but also complement the overall aesthetic, ensuring that every element contributes to an immersive and cohesive gaming experience.
To bolster our visibility and connect with our audience, we have established profiles across various social media platforms and designed eye-catching banners. These initiatives are aimed at engaging our community, sharing updates about “Mayor of Big Town,” and building a vibrant online community around our game.
