Prince Jay Jay
Pinkswag is a dynamic merchandising company dedicated to celebrating and promoting drag queens. The project brief called for the design of a logo, as well as assets and graphics for various products. Drawing inspiration from Prince Jay Jay's signature use of a crown in his performances, I crafted a contemporary logo that seamlessly integrates a crown into the typography, reflecting both elegance and flair.
Building on the existing concepts from both the Pinkswag team and the drag queen, I developed a clothing graphic that features bold contrasting colors and vibrant fruity patterns. This design not only captures the essence of fun and flamboyance but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the merchandise.
The assets I created draw inspiration from Prince Jay Jay's makeup, incorporating shapes that are both eye-catching and impactful. This design approach ensures that each element stands out, reflecting the bold and vibrant spirit of the drag community.
I also developed a pattern design that blends elements from various other designs, which was then applied to mugs. This unique pattern adds a cohesive visual identity to the merchandise while celebrating the diverse influences of the drag culture.
